Little boys

Boys will be boys

But I tent to find

That boys will be noise

Just about every day

I’ve also found

About little boys

That these little monsters

Also love toys

No matter what

These little boys do

Boys bring you joys

I’m sure you have found too

Angels

When thinking of Angels I often see

The ministers of deity

Angels fly on angel wings

To tell the world of sacred things

But oft times when friends are close

I feel the presence of Angels most

When I’m troubled they are there

To lift the burden that I bear

Angels come as friends and such

To offer up their heavenly touch

Friends are Angels in our life

To help us over come our strife

And with the hope my friend brings

I feel I’m held in Angel wings

Reflection

I'm thankful for this time of year
That brings me happiness and chear
To think of things I've received
And all the things that I've achieved
I can say, with thankful heart
I'm grateful for all you impart
This years been good, but it's the past
I hope the next ones like the last

River of Tears

a lonely boat sails through
a river of tears
passengers all unaware
of the pain

issuing form the river
upon which they
sail
beauty unparalleled is what
they see
in the crystal clear
water below
reverently they sail

in awe

down the river
of tears

Depression

Trapped, caught, struggling for air
Can't people hear me?
Doesn't anyone care?

Looking back I still can't see
When it first began
When it first caught me.

It snuck up so carefully, so quietly
And wrapped its self around
My soul and my body.

Little by little, step by step
It slowly confined me
While my mind slept.

My guard is now no more
There is nothing left
My thinking's very poor.

Now I'm wrapped up tight
I try to get out
Struggling with all my might.

But every time hope draws nigh
And I start to climb
I find the pit is just too high.

Christmas Gift

Gifts were brought to the Christ-Child to celebrate his birth

A star shone just for him that night and angles graced the earth

The shepherds came and vigil kept at his humble bed

Animals gave up their home so he could rest his head

Wise men, three, brought him myrrh, frankincense and gold

Yet all he had was swaddling clothes to keep away the cold

Kings adore and poor receive their Savior, Lord, and King

As all rejoiced the gifts were given and our hearts gladly sing

For no gift was given the Holy Child that matched the one he gave

For upon that still and quiet night came the Holy One to save

The Rose

Prettily it hangs

ribbon trimmed

upon the wall

mustering memories

of time gone by

dead, yet living

beautiful, still

For time cannot kill

these memories of mine

and so it hangs

for all to see

and wonder why

Troubled

My eyes are heavy but sleep wont come

to a mind as full as mine tonight.

Thoughts dance upon my stage

in the darkness of my mind.

I'm troubled, yes I must admit

but what to do is tough to know.

And so I long for sleep to come

but it dare not tread in

such a troubled mind as mine.

Everywhere I go

Everything has on a mask

People put on a masquerade
Pretending to be my friend

There lies the friendships end
